Use of Ladders

It is important to check that the ladder is in good condition before usin. if faults in the ladder are identified, then it should be widhdrawn from service immediately.

Remind when using step ladders you should:

Ensure the step ladder is located on firm level ground

You should ensure that the stats/chain/cords holding the two halves of the ladder together are in good condition

Be extremely careful when standing on the top steps platform of the step ladder

Maintenance

Ladders should be protected from rain/sun/fire/oil or any other things that may make the steps slippery or damage the ladder
