Prepare:

Do not apply outdoors in damp weather or immediately before or after rain. 

New Surfaces: 

Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of grease, dust and oil. 

Wood:

Seal all knots and sappy streaks with a knotting sealer

Previously Painted Surfaces: 

Remove all fungus by washing with a solution of 125ml liquid bleach and 15ml non-ammoniated liquid detergent per litre of water. Remove loose or scaling paint by scraping, wire brushing or sanding. Rinse thoroughly and dry before applying primer or paint
